Omar Issa wins the 2019 EERI Undergraduate Student Paper Competition

Omar Issa (Undergraduate Researcher, Burton Research Group) won the 2019 Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Undergraduate Student Paper Competition. His paper was entitled “Comparing the Seismic Collapse Performance of Cantilever Column and Moment Frame Retrofits for Woodframe Structures using Los Angeles Soft-Story Basic Ordinance Guidelines”. Omar worked on this topic during the Summer of 2019 as a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Student. Congrats Omar!
