Our research group was awarded two new grants from the National Science Foundation. The first project is titled Utilizing Remote Sensing to Assess the Implication of Tall Building Performance on the Resilience of Urban Centers. Henry Burton is the PI and John Wallace is the Co-PI. The second project is titled Modeling Post-Disaster Housing Recovery Integrating Performance Based Engineering and Urban Simulation. This is a collaborative project with Scott Miles, who is a senior principal research scientist at University of Washington’s Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering and Center for Collaborative Systems for Security, Safety, and Regional Resilience.
